The
Columbia River Economic Development Council is the lead economic
development organization for Clark County and Southwest Washington.
A private not-for-profit corporation, it has served the region
since 1982. The CREDC is a public/private partnership with 200+
private sector members working jointly with local government to
improve the business
and economic environment of the region.
The
mission of the CREDC is to stimulate job creation and investment
in Clark County. This mission is accomplished while ensuring that
the county’s exceptional environment and high quality of life are
maintained with the desires of the community as a whole.
The
activities and programs of the CREDC are focused on three core areas
(listed in priority):

Activities that support the expansion and retention of current
businesses and industries in the County;
- Recruitment
of targeted business and industry that support long term economic
development of the region; and,
- Advocacy
for infrastructure, regulations and economic development tools
to accomplish the mission.
This
Plan specifies the strategic direction of the organization and serves
as the framework for the development of the annual work program.
It focuses limited resources on activities that produce results
in alignment with the organization’s mission. The Plan will be
