The Columbia River Economic Development Council is the lead economic development organization for Clark County and Southwest Washington.
A private not-for-profit corporation, it has served the region since 1982.  The CREDC is a public/private partnership with 200+ private sector members working jointly with local government to improve the business
and economic environment of the region.

The mission of the CREDC is to stimulate job creation and investment in Clark County.  This mission is accomplished while ensuring that the county’s exceptional environment and high quality of life are maintained with the desires of the community as a whole.

The activities and programs of the CREDC are focused on three core areas (listed in priority):

  • Activities that support the expansion and retention of current businesses and industries in the County;
  • Recruitment of targeted business and industry that support long term economic development of the region; and,
  • Advocacy for infrastructure, regulations and economic development tools to accomplish the mission.

This Plan specifies the strategic direction of the organization and serves as the framework for the development of the annual work program.  It focuses limited resources on activities that produce results in alignment with the organization’s mission.  The Plan will be reviewed annually to determine its continued relevancy to the dynamic economy of the community.  Read More
